They are a type of polyunsaturated fatty acids (healthy) that are part of cell membranes.

*Benefits:

- Has an anti-inflammatory effect.
- Contributes to regulate parameters such as: glucose, insulin, cholesterol and triglycerides.
- Provides a cardioprotective effect

*In which foods are they found?

Salmon, tuna, sardines, walnuts, flaxseed, olive oil, chia.

*What type of omega-3 supplement is recommended?

Salmon oil and krill oil. With a ratio of EPA and DHA of at least 500mg daily.
